I discovered Hyori and Finkl whilst I watched a live concert by FINKL (2000 Seoul Fencing Stadium. At the time of the concert Hyori and Finkl were relatively new. In the successful years taht followed, Hyori's popularity grew and grew, but in the recent years I formed the following opinion about the fate of Lee Hyori and Finkl members once Finkl fell apart. - Yuri and Jin would not pursue musical careers; - Joo Hyun, the powerhouse of the band, would definitely go on, and produced a relatively good comeback after face surgery and a strick diet plan..

Although I personally thought Hyori was the best looking of all of four and I loved lee Hyori's singing as well, I knew Hyori would make it big, but it would not be because of Hyori's singing but more for Hyori's looks, and as a result, she has won numerous contracts for hair and beauty products.. - Hyo Ri Lee was the only one who had what sells today: Lee hyori was a babe, and Lee Hyori had tolerable singing ability. The proof is on he latest albums.

She sings OK, the song selection is well suited for hyo ri's ability, but since Hyori's ability does leave much choice for melodic variety, the album is musically uninteresting. This is not to say that I will not buy Lee Hyori's next album.

Lee Hyori is a member of the Korean pop group Fin. K.L. but also went solo in 2003, Fin. K.L. stands for "Fine Killing Liberty", which loosely translates into the "fin" (i.e the end) of "liberty killing," which means that the girls will stand up against and put an end to anything that will "kill (our) liberty."

The name was chosen for the band by DSP Entertainment even before the members were chosen. Lee Hyori, who would become the group leader due to Lee Hyori being the oldest, was discovered while taking sticker pictures with her friends and was actually the last to join the group, just before their launch in January 1998. Fin. K.L. debuted officially on May 22, 1998 with their first single "Blue Rain."

It was received quite well, but it was not until their second release from their first album: To My Boyfriend, that Fin. K.L. truly proved their popularity and "To My Boyfriend" became the first of their numerous number 1 hits. Following their fourth album Forever, Hyori launched her solo career: first as an MC, of "Time Machine" and "Happy Together" and then with the release of her first album, Stylish E.

Hyori Lee - Korean Celebrity

Date of Birth: 5/10/1979
Birth Place: Choong Bok
Ethnicity: Korean

Hyori Lee Biography
Hyori Lee (이효리), also written as Lee Hyori, Lee Hyolee, and Lee Hyo-ri, was the youngest of three children born to her parents. She is a k-pop singer who was once a member of the
K-pop group Fin.K.L. (Fine Killing Liberty). She was discovered while taking pictures in a photo booth and was made into the leader of Fin.K.L. despite being the last member to be picked. Hyori was chosen to be the leader due to her incredibly beautiful look, amazing dance skills, and strong vocals.

Hyori Lee is active in many commercials (called CFs). She represents Samsung, FR Jeans, GGPX New York, Biotherm Korea, G-Market, Dove (company), Delmonte and Samsachun. She also starred in a drama series entitled Three Leaf Clover, however, her acting endeavor was unsuccessful, as the series garnered pretty low ratings.

Her debut solo album in 2003, named Stylish E., was well received in Korea. At the Korean music awards, Hyori Lee won over seven "artist of the year" awards. She released another album with Fin. K.L. in October 2005, but this album was only released online. In 2006, Hyori released her second solo album, titled Dark Angel. The first single of this album, "Get Ya," was accused of plagiarizing Britney Spear's "Why Don't You Do Something." Because of this, Hyori stopped promotion of that single and started focusing on the other songs in her album.

In 2007, Hyori Lee will perform in a new drama entitled If In Love... Like Them, where she will co-star with Lee Dong Gun. The drama is only a 2-episode miniseries. This drama will be produced in partnership with Mnet Media, Hyori's new management agency.

Hyori Lee enjoys dancing, listening to R&B, and she lists her favorite artists as Mariah Carey and Brandy. Drawing and acting are also two of her favorite hobbies.
